Bend and snap right into an at-home mani-pedi situation!

Chances are, if you see me my nails and toes are manicured and polished. Even if I don’t have a stitch of makeup on and my hair is a curly mess, there are 2 bare-minimum things I make sure are done: eyebrows and nails. Getting a pedicure at a salon is a nice treat, but I have done my own nails for years (thankfully, since nail salons have been shuttered for what feels like forever), at-home gel kit and all! I have never been a fan of a matching mani-pedi, so today I’m sharing my favorite color combinations for fingers and toes, as well as the and products I use for professional-looking at home nails!

All polishes shown found on, from left: Essie Blanc, OPI Infinite Shine Samoan Sand, OPI Infinite Shine Raisin’ The Bar, CND Vinylux Field Fox, Essie Gorge-ous Geode Semi-Precious Tones, OPI Infinite Shine Steel Waters Run Deep, CND Vinylux Flowerbed Folly, Essie Bikini So Teeny, CND Vinylux Field Fox, Essie Gel Couture Wool Me Over, Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Babe Blue, Essie Blanc

I use gel polishes that are cured with a UV light, but these normal polishes represent my favorite duos in case doing your own gel nails seems a bit too ambitious! I’ll be honest, some days I miss going to a nail salon with a girlfriend. I keep to mostly neutrals, but go brighter with corals and blues. White fingers and sandy toes are my go-to lately, but in the Fall I LOVE a dusty pink and berry combination.

I haven’t enetered the world of nail art, but have been VERY tempted lately (what with the extra time on my hands (ha!)), especially now that Pinterest is throwing nail inspo at me left and right. Adding a little design is a way to make a neutral manicure interesting!

As mentioned, I have been doing gel mani-pedi at home for years! After watching nail technicians for countless manicures and pedicures, and being a bit particular about things like clean lines and even coats myself, doing my own nails was a simple transition! Amazon has all the products you need for a fully equipped nail kit.

Do you use the same color for both your manicure and pedicure? If not, what is your favorite color combination?
