WHAT TO get your dad THIS faTHER’S DAY

The singular day when Dad Jokes are not only appreciated, but reinforced by cards, t-shirts and other novelty items. Father’s Day is a day dedicated to thanking good ole Dad for stepping in to braid your hair when Mom’s hands were full, for making it to the game just in time to see you score, or for being just the right amount of goofball to cheer you up on a bad day. It’s also a time that you can show your appreciation with a little something, so today I’m sharing some of my Father’s Day gift ideas!

This custom leather car key cover is such a good gift idea, it’s being carried over from the Mother’s Day gift guide! If your dad is a car lover, he’s a car LOVER, so show him some support by giving him a gift he’ll literally have on his person every. single. day.

Too cliché? We’re coming up on prime grilling season (unless you live in Florida, where it’s always grilling season) and a good apron and set of tools are essentials for any grillmaster. Amazon has Dad Joke-esque grill aprons galore, like this ‘License To Grill’ apron. He’ll also get a kick out of this tool set that comes in an actual tool box!

FOR THE active dad

Bond over a fun outdoor game! Target is chock-full of outdoor activities, and this Ladder Toss might be the best one. You can even keep score in style, especially if you dad is competitive!

This is by far the coolest Citrus Juicer I have ever seen. If your dad likes to start the day with a glass of orange juice, no plastic handheld squeezer will do. He’ll enjoy using this retro juicer as much as he does drinking the juice! If you’re lucky, he might even juice up a glass for you!

No matter how simple it might sound, pajamas are always a good gift, to give or receive. Get dad a new shirt and pair of shorts to lounge in on mornings at home. If he’s not a shorts guy, go for a henley and pants.

FOR THE well-groomed dad

Maybe your dad already has good grooming practices, or is just getting into self-care (forcibly or on his own accord). Show him the meaning of a good self-care regimen with a kit of skincare, haircare and/ or shaving products.

If your dad is a coffee drinker, he’ll love the Ember Travel Mug. This high-tech mug keeps coffee at your preferred temperature via the Ember app, or by using the touch panel conveniently located on the mug itself! Gone are the days where he’ll have to warm up the coffee that got cold on his desk during a long meeting or that he lost track of in the house!

Dads might like to roughhouse with their boys, or chase boys away from their little girls, but deep down any dad can’t wait for the opportunity to brag about his family and what better way to do just that than with a new family photo to show off at the office. Frame your favorite picture with dad, new or old, and I guarantee he’ll love it as much (if not more) than any other gift you went out and bought for him.

Just like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day isn’t about the gifts. Whether you have spent *a whole lot of* time together lately, are spending Father’s Day apart or are remembering Father’s Days past, enjoy it. Time with the people we love is precious.

What are you doing for Father’s Day this year?
